Lucea Wales of Ashby/Brandon-Evansville won the 100 meter hurdles (15.14), Ellie Sosa of Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton was the triple jump champion (38-11.50) and Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale won the boys' 4x800 meter relay (8:05.11) to set the pace on day two of the Class A State Track and Field Meet on Friday at St. Michael-Albertville.

The Section 6A State Track and Field Meet was held in Pillager on Thursday with state qualifier being determined in both the boys' and girls' competition.  Qualifiers will compete in the Class A State Meet June 6 to June 8 at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
