The Junior High Ashby-Brandon-Evansville Bolts and Border West Buccanners ran at the 1st ever state middle school Cross Country championships in Wayzata Saturday morning.
"Though the course was wet with the rain and the weather was cold, the kids ran very well and all set PRs for the season," commented Bolts Head Coach Robert Bosma. "This was a great opportunity for these kids to see some solid competition from all over the state and there were many amazing runners. With that being said, the Bolts ran a solid race and competed hard throughout the entire time."

Border West also had participants in the Junior High State Meet.
"It was an amazing experience for our JH runners," said Buccaneers Head Coach Brittany Erickson. "The weather was cold, the course was wet and a bit tight in some areas making it hard to maneuver and get around people, but we had fun! I appreciate their willingness to get up extremely early and make the drive to compete."
