OTC's Norah Froslee and Katie Holzner of Hillcrest Qualify for State Cross Country Meet
Staples-Motley and Wadena-Deer Creek were the top two teams at the Section 6A Girls Cross Country meet, hosted by Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Friday. Those two teams, along with the next five individuals will compete in the Class A State Cross Country Meet on Saturday, November 4 at the Les Bolstad Golf Course on the campus of the University of Minnesota. Individual qualifiers included Norah Froslee of Ottertail Central and Katie Holzner of Hillcrest.
"Julia Schmidt missed state by seven places," reported Border West Head Coach Brittany Erickson. "LPGE is always a tough course and all of our runners ran faster at Sections than they did when they ran it in September. Seeing our seniors cross the finish at sections is always bittersweet. I can’t thank our seniors enough for their time and dedication to the program."
