The Hancock boys’ basketball team fell behind 27-22 to Parkers Prairie at halftime of their Section 6A playoff game on Wednesday night, however, the Owls came back strong to register a 56-55 victory, advancing to a Saturday matchup with top-seeded Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in the South Sub-Section.
Chase Evink and Hudson VerSteeg scored 16 points apiece to lead the Owls and Jackson Koehl joined them in double figures with 11. Koehl added a team high 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Evink secured 8 rebounds.
Parkers Prairie was led by 17 points from Dylan Bebilzen and 16 from Mason Arens. Debilzen buried 5 3’s for the Panthers.
Parkers Prairie ends their season with a final record of 11-14.
Hancock is now 13-13.
