Former Otters Lead Offensive Attack for Cobbers

A couple of Fergus Falls High School graduates helped spark the Concordia Cobbers 54-7 college football victory over Augsburg on Saturday as the Cobbers improved to 2-1 on the season. 

Fifth-year senior Dane Ringquist ran for 128 yards on 7 carries and found the end zone twice. His longest run of the afternoon went for 72 yards and six points. In three games this season Ringquist has run for 264 yards on 30 carries, averaging 8.8 yards per rush and 88 yards per game. His touchdowns on Saturday were his first two of the season. 

Sophomore Rylie Sheridan had 134 rushing yards on 7 attempts and also scored a pair of TDs. Through three games Sheridan has 284 yards rushing on 18 carries for an average of 15.8 yards per carry and 94.7 yards per game. He has scored three touchdowns. 

Junior Joel King (OL), freshman Marshall King (D) and sophomore Gabe Enderle (LB) are other former Otters on the team, along with Hillcrest graduate Sean McGuire (QB) who is a sophomore for the Cobbers. He ran the ball once on Saturday, losing a yard. 

Senior Brett Brenden (WR) and freshman Wyatt Curtis (RB) from Rothsay, Junior Erik Manning (DL) and freshmen Nathan Phillips (DB) and Tommy Hiedeman (RB) from Breckenridge, senior Jesse Bucholz (DL) from Perham and junior Alex Diaz (K) from Pelican Rapids are all members of the Cobbers this season.
