Matt Brimhall (Inducted 2018)

Matt Brimhall is a 1990 graduate of Fergus Falls High School. He was a three-sport athlete in football (quarterback), hockey (defenseman), and baseball (shortstop).

Brimhall was caption in football his senior year and the same year was also captain in hockey and baseball. He earned seven varsity letters: two in football, three in hockey and two in baseball.

He was a John Hermes MVP Awardee in 1990.

After high school Brimhall attended M State, Fergus Falls, for two years where he played football (quarterback) and baseball (shortstop).

He was a member of the MCCC All-Conference team and NJCAA All-Region XIII team for both football and baseball.

He was Spartan football offensive co-MVP in 1990, football offensive and team MVP in 1991, and captain for both baseball and football in 1991.

After two years at M State, Fergus Falls, he attended Bethel College (now Bethel University in Arden Hills).

He played football and baseball for the Royals, was a member of the 1994 MIAC all-conference baseball team and was team captain in 1994. Brimhall graduated from Bethel in 1994.

Brimhall has worked in the family business (Minnesota Motor) for 24 years and is currently the general manager.

He and his wife, Carrie, celebrate their 20th anniversary in August. They have three children. Jakob, 18, is a 2018 FFHS graduate who played Otter football, hockey and baseball. He will study at MSU, Moorhead, in the fall.

Gabby, 14, will be a freshman and is an Otter volleyball, hockey and softball player. Maddison, 9, is a fourth grader.
