Kevin Pearson (Inducted 2017)

Kevin Pearson Biography from Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, August 12, 2017. 

Kevin Pearson was born and raised in Fergus Falls, graduating from high school in 1992.

During his high school career he earned various team awards, including 11 varsity letters (4 in football, 4 in basketball and 3 in baseball). He was selected to play in all three high school all star games in those individual sports.

Kevin was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 1992 June draft. He signed with the Twins a few days later, and reported for training camp in Fort Myers Florida.

He played for three different teams during his pro baseball career. They included the Gulf Coast League Twins, the Elizabethton Twins of the Appalachian League, and the Fort Wayne Wizards of the Midwest League.

While playing baseball, Kevin continued his education at Fergus Falls Community College. He continued to play basketball and was a member of the Spartan team that finished fourth in the National Tournament in Delhi, New York.

He was named the Region 13 Offensive MVP during that playoff run. He then went on to complete his education and basketball career at Concordia College in Moorhead where he was named to the MIAC All Defensive Team his Senior year.

Kevin is currently a sixth grade teacher in Fergus Falls where he coaches football, girls basketball, and baseball.         

He and his wife, Laura, have 4 children:  Lily (16), Paige (14), Luke (10), and Sarah (3 1/2).
