Eric Ecker Biography from Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, July 27, 2013.

Eric Ecker, a 1995 graduate of Fergus Falls High School, excelled in Otter golf and hockey.

He was five-year letter winner in golf and three-year letter winner in hockey. Ecker served as Otter varsity hockey team co-captain during his senior year.

His high school golf accomplishments include 1993 Minnesota State AA Golf Champion, 1993 Minnesota State Junior Golf Runner Up, 1993 Minnesota State Golf Player of the Year, 1994 State AA Golf Runner Up, 1994 Minnesota State Golf Junior Team Champion Member, 1995 State AA Golf Champion and 1995 Minnesota State Junior Golf Champion.

Ecker attended the University of South Carolina to play Division I golf from 1995 to 2000.    

We had highly competitive teams during my years there, including a national ranking of Number 3, said Ecker. We competed in three NCAA National Championship tournaments.

His collegiate accomplishments include 1998 Southeastern Conference Champion, 1998 NCAA All American, 1998 Southeastern Conference First Team Selection, 1999 Southeastern Conference First Team Selection, 1999 NCAA All American, selected as 1999 team member, along with seven other collegiate players, for the US/Japan Cup Matches held in Tokyo, Japan.

He was a 2000 Southeastern Conference Second Team Selection and in 2000 finished his collegiate career playing in the most competitive rounds in USC school history.  Ecker garnered 26 Top 10 finishes throughout collegiate career. He finished with a career scoring average of 72.1.

Ecker currently resides in Springfield, Missouri, where he is positioned as a Senior Branch Director for FLS Transportation Services, a top 100 Logistics Company in North America.

Im still active in the game of golf and enjoy competing in state events in Missouri as well as National Invitational events staged around the country, said Ecker.

Hes  married to Libby Ecker and they have two children, Ella, 7, and Eli, 5. His parents are Greg and Barb Ecker of Fergus Falls.
