Jeff Jacobson (Inducted 1986)

Jeff Jacobson Biography from the Hall of Fame Sports Banquet, April 28, 1986.
      1972 Fergus High grad Jeff Jacobson is the youngest member of this initial Chamber of Commerce Sports Hall of Fame. An outstanding football player and wrestler for the Otters, he later played football at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
      In high school Jacobson participated in football, wrestling, baseball, and track. He was the football MVP for the Otters his senior year, also gaining all-state honors. He was tri-captain for two seasons.
      In wrestling, Jacobson lettered three years and was co-captain for two seasons. He was district champion three years, regional champion two years, and wrestled in the state tournament two years, getting  a 6th-place finish at the state meet in one of those years.
      In baseball he lettered three years and was co-captain two seasons, winning the MVP honor in baseball his senior year at Fergus High. Jacobson was a two-year letter winner in track.
      At the University of North Dakota, Jacobson lettered four years for the Sioux, playing as offensive guard at 6 feet and 215 pounds. During his senior year, in the fall of 1975, he was honorable mention all-North Central Conference.
      Jacobson is now a resident of Houston, Texas, where he is manager of Corporate Insurance Agency. He and his wife, Debbie, have a daughter, Jaclyn.
