Day two of the State Track and Field Meet featured some rain delays and a couple of area champions.  Perham senior Martin LaFond won the boys long jump (22-03.75) and junior Ashley Hokanson won the girls pole vault (11-07).

Perham senior Sydney Bahls finished her high school track and field career with a fourth place (10-06) in the pole vault and sophomore Shalie Lipp just missed out on a medal with a tenth place finish (10-00).  Carson Speicher claimd fourth place in the 800 meter run (1:59.02) and was part of two sixth place relay teams, the 4 x 400 (3:28.38) and the 4 x 800 (8:10.62).  Speicher and Chase Belka were on both relay teams.  They were joined by John LaFond and Logan Wallace on the 4 x 400 team and by Jacob McCleary and Brandon O'Hara on the 4 x 800 team.  Caitlin Covington did not place in the girls 1600 and Jacob McCleary was eleventh, just missing out on a medal in the boys 1600 meter run.

The Pelican Rapids girls relay teams set school records in both events, taking fourth in the 4 x 400 (4:00.95) with the team of Maddie Guler, Abby Syverson, Jessica Weinrich and Tatianna Wiley and ninth in the 4 x 800 (9:47.24) with the team of Chloe Paulson, Grace Johnson, Kaylie Isaman and Syverson.  Carlan Haugrud did not place in the long jump (19-10.75).
