Perham Girls Win HOL Title, Bormann is Conference MVP

The Perham girls golf team has won the Heart O’ Lakes Conference team title and Kolbey Bormann of the Yellowjackets is the HOL Conference MVP. 

On the front nine at Wildflower on Thursday the Yellowjackets shot a 181 to take first place. Second place went to Hawley/Ulen-Hitterdal with a 192 and third place to Barnesville with a 211. Pelican Rapids was fourth (213), DGF fifth (218), Frazee sixth (234) and Breckenridge seventh (270). Mallory Belka of Perham was medalist with a 40, while Bormann took second with a 43 and Allie King of Perham was third, also with a 43. Fourth place went to Mia Tickel of Hawley/Ulen-Hitterdal with a 45 and her teammate Faith Justesen was fifth with a 48. Brenna Balken of DGF claimed the sixth place medal with a 48. 

On the back nine, Perham won again with an identical score of 181. Hawley/Ulen-Hitterdal again was second with a 191, Pelican Rapids third (201, Barnesville fourth (210), DGF fifth (234), Frazee sixth (241) and Breckenridge seventh (269). Bormann was medalist with a 41, Morgan Berg of Pelican Rapids second with a 44 and Justesen third with a 45. King took fourth with a 45, Tickel fifth with a 46 and Belka sixth with a 46.

Joining Bormann as All-Conference players are Belka, King and Lexi Kunza of Perham, Justesen, Tickel, Zoe Dauner, Lauren Sellin and Madi Andring of Hawley/Ulen-Hitterdal, Allysa Allen, Callie Krause and Allie Aadland of Barnesville, Ellie Johnson and Morgan Berg of Pelican Rapids, and Brenna Balken of DGF.
