Hurricanes Blank Millers 13-0 in Seven Innings

Darin Stanislawski tossed seven scoreless innings on Saturday afternoon as the Fergus Falls Hurricanes shutout New York Mills 13-0, holding the Millers to just three hits. 

The Hurricanes jumped out to a 3-0 first inning lead. Alex Hensch doubled with one out and scored on a two out single by Stanislawski. Jake Heck singled and Jake Anderson followed with a run-scoring single. Heck then came in on a wild pitch. In the third, Jake Anderson singled with one out and came across with the fourth run of the game on a double by Allen Mekash

Fergus Falls had a pair of four-run innings. With one out in the fourth Hensch singled and scored on a Dan Revering double. Stanislawski then drove home Revering with a two-base hit and after a ground out, a single by Anderson scored Stanislawski. Jack Hiedeman’s double moved Anderson to third base and an error allowed Anderson to score the fourth run of the inning. In the fifth, Tosten Mann and Hensch led off the inning with singles and a Revering single scored Mann. Stanislawski followed with a run-scoring single and Revering scored on an error. Jack Hiedeman doubled home Heck with the final run of the fifth inning and the Hurricanes led 12-0. 

In the sixth, Mann reached second on a throwing error and scored on a Revering single. 

Hensch (4-4, 2B, BB, 3R), Revering (3-5, 2B, 2R, 3RBI), Stanislawski (3-5, 2B, 2R, 3RBI), Anderson (3-3, 2R, 2RBI) and Hiedeman (2-4, 2 2B, RBI) were the hitting leaders for Fergus Falls. 

The Hurricanes will host Frazee in a double header on Sunday beginning at 1:30pm.
