Morgan Klintworth of Ottertail Central claimed medalist honors with a 92 and Jessica St. Martin of West Central Area was runner-up with a 96 as Pebble Lake Golf Course in Fergus Falls hosted a Quad County Conference Girls Golf Meet on Thursday.

OTC's Megan Weber was third with a 103 and Greta Nyhus of the Bulldogs was fourth with a 104.  Jill Maahs of Underwood finished fifth with a 104 and Alex Larson of Rothsay came in sixth with a 107.

Katie Merrick (108), Libby Poyzer (111) and Kate Wrolson (121) rounded out the scoring for West Central Area.

"We started the day out soggy, but finished playing in the sun with very little breeze," reported WCA Head Coach Kari Kreft.  "It ended up being a pleasant round and we were glad to get in another meet.  We were missing Lexi Poyzer due to illness but had a strong showing from the rest of the crew.  Jessica had a great round on a longer golf course that she wasn't familiar with.  She was really stroking her fairway shots and had some strong drives.  Katie put herself into some trick situations, but was good at getting herself out of those sketchy predicaments.  Libby had a solid round and Kate had some beautiful drives today. It was a good day and we enjoyed playing at Pebble Lake, a course none of the girls had played before."

Sarah Peterson had a 120 and Jenna Fabre a 127 for Rothsay, while Makenzie Vorderbruggen (116) and Megan Hodenfeld (125) completed the team scoring for OTC.  Megan Findlay had a 108 for Border West.

OTC won the team title with a 415 total and OTC was second at 436.
