Otter Basketball Teams “Shootin for a Cure” in Doubleheader

The Fergus Falls Otters Boys and Girls Basketball teams will be “Shootin’ for a Cure” when they host a double header with six action-packed games scheduled for their Cancer Awareness night on Tuesday, January 28.

The Girls will be facing Staples with a 4:00pm ninth grade game in the Maroon Gym, a 4:00pm JV game in the Gold Gym and the Varsity girls tipping off at 6:00pm in the Gold Gym.

Otter Boys will take on Perham with a 4:00pm JV game in the Silver Gym, 5:30pm ninth grade game in the Maroon Gym and a boys Varsity tip off in the Gold Gym at 8:00pm.

Several fundraising and awareness events are planned for the night including raffles for cash prizes and merchandise sales including infinity scarves knitted by the Girls Basketball team. There will also be opportunities to sponsor a player or a team member by donating money for each point scored that night to the Cancer Center. You can buy those sponsorships at the game or talk to your favorite player any time before the 28. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to the games as a show of support for the local fight against cancer.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care and Research Center in Fergus Falls.
