|Pancake Feed to Honor Memory of Alt Girls While Benefiting Orphanage|
A Pancake Feed Saturday, September 29 from 8:00am to 10:00am at Applebee's in Fergus Falls will honor the memory of Ayana Grace and Ayla Grace Alt while benefiting Children of the Promise Orphanage. Everyone is encouraged to come and be a part of this opportunity to help.
The Pancake Feed is being sponsored by Reese's Friends. Reese Thacker was adopted by Sarah and David Thacker in 2010 after the earthquake in Haiti. His orphanage, Children of the Promise, provides care to malnourished babies and toddlers. Children of the Promise is in the middle of a building project to build seven family-like homes for children until the are with their forever families. Each baby home costs $35,000 to build. The goal for the Pancake Feed is to raise enough money to build one home. It will be called the Grace House, in memory of Ayana Grace and Ayala Grace. The girls were born to Mike and Annie Alt on March 31. They shared only one heart and lived for a miraculous and precious 33 minutes.
Mike Alt and David Thacker have been on the Fergus Falls High School Boys Hockey coaching staff together for several years.
