|Spartan Baseball Team Signs Two|
M State baseball has recently signed two players to national letter of intents to continue their education and play baseball for the Spartans next fall.
Matt Bergmann, a senior from New Ulm High School, has committed to play baseball for the Spartans next season. Matt is a first baseman who hit .435 as a junior and was selected to the all section team. Brady Weller, a senior from Brooten-Belgrade-Elrosa High School, has also decided to join the Spartan next season. Brady is a Right Handed Pitcher who is a 4 year starter on the varsity, was an all conference member as a junior and a 3 time Cy Young Award winner on his H.S. team.
"We are very fortunate to have these two players join our program next season," said Head Coach Jarrod Asmus. "Both Brady and Matt are exceptional players and even better people. Both will look to contribute immediately as we look to fill some big holes left by our graduating class. On behalf of myself, the coaching staff, and the M State campus, we are extremely exciting and very much looking forward to having these two young men as part of our program."
M State was 32-8 last season.
