Elite Baseball Academy Returns to Underwood Saturday

Do you want to showcase your talents to a college baseball coach or just show other area baseball players your skills?  The Otter Tail Central Baseball team will once again be hosting the Elite Baseball Academy. The camps will be held in the Underwood Gymnasium on Saturday January 28.

Led by 15 year professional player and coach, Darin Everson, a native of Ada, Minnesota, several of the Otter Tail Central Coaching staff as well as current college and professional coaches, the camps will put an emphasis on skill work and repetition.  The Elite Baseball Academy is in its 11th year of teaching Baseball skills throughout the Midwest, including the 3rd year being hosted by OTC.  Coach Everson has coached in the Florida Marlins organization and is currently managing the Washington Wild Things of the Frontier League and brings an enormous amount of experience and knowledge to this camp.

“This camp is the only one of its kind in the area and we hope to see many of our area baseball players take advantage of the this opportunity to improve their skills and get a jump start onto the baseball season,” commented OTC Head Coach Steve Bradsteen.  “We are very fortunate to have a camp of this caliber in our area providing off season knowledge and skills to our local players.”

Continuous small group instruction with great camper to instructor ratio will be offered throughout the day.  All 5th-12th grade boys from OTC, Ashby, Perham, Frazee, Fergus Falls, Brandon-Evansville and other area baseball players are all welcome to attend this well organized baseball camp.

Camps run from 10 am to 12:30pm for the Catchers and Infield Professional Skills Camp and from 2:00pm to 5:00pm for the “Energy Transfer” Hitting camp.  Hitters bring your own bat, catchers bring your own gear.  Each camper receives a T-shirt and door prizes are given away.  Players taking part in both camps should bring a sack lunch.  For further information contact Darin Everson at [email protected] or Steve Bradsteen at [email protected] or for online registration check out the EBA website: www.elitebaseballacademy.com.  Price of each camp is $65.00 or $120.00 for both camps.  A Video Hitting Lesson option is also available.
