Fergus Falls Adapted Bowling Competes in Moorhead

 Friday morning, the Otter Adapted Bowling team traveled to Moorhead to take on the Spuds.

In ASD singles, Kyler Smith from Moorhead took 1st with a score of 407. 9th grader James Merz came in 2nd for the Otters with a score of 402. Senior Zade Carlson came in 3rd with a score of 397. Otters Jacob Bergstrand and Nate Graham came in 5th and 7th.

ASD Doubles, the Otters team of James Merz and Jacob Bergstrand took 1st with a score of 820. Zade Carlson and Nate Graham followed right behind with a score of 813. Moorhead was 3rd and 4th with scores of 775 and 741.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK



Two Fergus Falls High School graduates are in the national spotlight in NCAA Division III Women's Hockey.

On Thursday, 1983 Fergus Falls High School graduate Joe Cranston, in his 25th season as the head women’s hockey coach at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, was named the NCAA Division III Women’s Hockey Coach of the Year.  On Sunday afternoon, Cranston’s Falcons defeated Elmira College 4-1 at Hunt Arena in River Falls to win the 2024 NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey National Championship.  The national title is the first in UWRF’s history during its 25th anniversary season, finishing with a  31-0 overall record, the most single season wins in NCAA Division III Women’s Ice Hockey history and the fourth ever undefeated season.
