DL Wins Team Title at Alexandria Girls Golf Invitational

By Tim Zupfer 04/24/2024, 6:15pm CDT

The Alexandria Varsity Girls Golf Team hosted a 16-team Invitational on Wednesday at The Alexandria Golf Club.  While it was a little chilly warming up, the weather was  beautiful for the last Wednesday in April!  It warmed up to the mid 60's and the wind was the calmest it has been in over a week!  The talented field took advantage of the conditions and posted some very nice scores.  Detroit Lakes and Wayzata are two of the most talented teams in the state.  On this day, Detroit Lakes held off Wayzata for the team title.  The lady Cardinals top team finished in 4th place, just a few shots behind their neighbors from Minnewaska Area.
